First the negatives:

I didn't completely get the unit to fit perfectly, but the sense of weight is annoying and it did push down on my nose a bit, but I'm sure that it's fixable when your sitting at home in comfy chair and adjust the straps exactly.

The lower 720p resolution was slightly noticeable on some scenes. On things like lamp posts, stairs, basically things with lots of edges looked a little jagged. Not a big issue, but the jump to 1080 panels would be notiecable to me.

Film Look. People often talk about some projectors (especially LCOS) as having a more film like picture, or going to see a movie in the theater projected from a film projector. There ain't really any film look here. It looks like a giant plasma, not like a projected picture at all. This can and very well maybe exactly what people wan't and it's not really a negative for many.

Isolation. I used the my thumbs to try to block out as much light as possible as the light blockers were MIA, and without blocking out the light the sense of immersion is quickly lost. Light blocker are a must. Have to make sure to keep your head still of you will feel sick pretty fast. Because It wasn't strapped to my head 100% every head movement felt really strange and disorienting.


Positives:

Black Levels. Better then any projector on the market. Blacks are not 100% black on an all black screen, but pretty close. At least Kuro level.

Motion. Perfect. Nothing to complain about. NO blur, or fringing, or anything.

Colour. Very deep and saturated. Plasma like colour but more vivid and deep.

Simulated Screen Size. It WORKS. It's a little trippy at first because it does feel to me like I'm sitting in the middle row of a large theater. My brain keep fighting me because I knew I had these goggles on right in front of my face. Can't wait for extended viewing time without any distractions to let myself get immersed in the experience. My friend also thought it seemed like a theater sized experience and we both have 110" screens. To me it felt like I was about 20 feet away from a larger screen and not 11 feet like I sit from my 100" The FOV is great and covers your vision nicely. You'll be moving your eyes across the "screen" to get the whole picture.

3D. Same quality as 2D. That's to be expected and obviously no crosstalk. I found that because I was so used to active glasses "activating" and the picture going darker. When the 3D clips were playing at first my brain just assumed that they were 2D until I really started looking and noticed all the 3D effects. It does seem subtle, but again that could just be the 2 clips they showed were Harry Potter and Green Hornet, which were both converted and didn't have much 3D depth to begin with. Also have to make sure to adjust the eye spacing as this can greatly diminish the 3D effect.

Gaming 3D. WOW. WOW. This is by far the best way to play 3D on the PS3. I saw a trailer for GT 5 and it looked excellent. I got a controller and played Killzone 3 at max depth and it looked AMAZING. This game suffers from horrible crosstalk on any other 3D tech, but It's just perfect on the HMD. For this reason alone I would buy this device.

Basically it looks like a HUGE plasma to me.

It think I would find this has more immersion then my 110" screen. The simple fact that once it's on and all outside influence disappears. You're in your own little world and it's pretty awesome! No walls, entertainment racks, etc to get in the way of what your watchin.

Can't wait to get mine. I would definitely need at least a full day at home with one of these to give it a final review. It's hard to concentrate in a busy store on something that requires isolation for maximum effect. Still got a good enough idea that I know for gaming it can't be beat.

I does play 720p FP. It actually takes the 1080 FP 24hz signal and downscales it to the native 720p. You just leave the auto option on in the 3D menu.

Ενδιαφερον αλλα τα - που αναφερει νομίζω οτι βαραινουν πολυ περισσότερο από τα +.

Το συμπερασμα ειναι αυτο που υποψιαζομουν: Καλο (με επιφυλάξεις) βασικα για gaming.
 
Εξαρταται ποια + έχουν μεγαλύτερη σημασία για εσένα:
Τα άριστα μαυρα + υψηλη φωτεινότητα + δυνατότητα "μεγάλης" 2D/3Dεικόνας σε πλήρη συσκότιση είναι μεγάλα συν για εμενα, ειδικά αν λόγω περιστάσεων δεν μπορείς να απολαύσεις home cinema σπίτι σου..

-Όταν το φορας θα είσαι σαν την Lady Gaga :p (no problem)
-Χάνεται η αίσθηση της ταινίας με παρέα (no problem, ειδικα αν εχεις παιδια που ξυπνουν συνεχεια ειναι ταμαμ)
-Μονο 720p (no problem, κανουμε downscale και περιμενουμε το μοντελο 1080p)


Προσωπικά, το βρίσκω πολύ ενδιαφέρον προιον και ανυπομονώ να το δω σε δράση!

Πωπω μιλαμε οτι ειναι η χαρα του καθε πατερα που δεν μπορει να ξαναστησει το home cinema του επειδη εχει γεμισει το σπιτι νεαρους που μιμουνται την τσιτα και κρεμιουνται απο οτιδηποτε κρεμεται. :bigcry:
 
εγω παντως που ταξιδευω συχνα μολις πεσει η τιμη τους λιγο , γιατι τα 800 ευρω ειναι παρα πολλα ειναι η επομενη αγορα μου !!
ειδικα στο καραβι θα ειναι οτι πρεπει .
απλα ενα πολυμπιζο , εναν σκληρο μαζι με το κρυσταλ οντιο σπιρτοκουτο συν ενα hdmi 1m !!!
ηδη τρεχουν τα σαλια μου ...
