The new 300-600mm super-tele zoom is a tour de force of optical engineering. It delivers near-prime image quality across a range of super-tele focal lengths. While far from light (~25% heavier than typical 600mm f/4 primes), it can save carrying multiple long tele lenses and is highly affordable compared to its 600mm competition.
