Η ελλειψη πολλαπλων επιστρωσεων σε συνδυασμο με την συνταγη των τριων συγκεκριμενων στοιχειων και των 15 λεπιδων του διαφραγματος ηταν που εκανε διασημο τον φακο αυτο οχι για την μη οξυτητα του αλλα για το περιφημο soap bubble bokeh.

Στα χρονια που ακολουθησαν η Meyer Optik Görlitz αποκτηθηκε απο την OPC Optics (2018) και εβγαλε το 2020 επανεκδοσεις ολων των διασημων φακων της συμπεριλαμβανομενων των Trioplan ( σε εστιακα μηκη των 35,50 και 100) αλλα με πολλαπλες επιστρωσεις και πολυ μεγαλο κοστος αποκτησης κανοντας τους ενα ειδος πολυτελειας για αυτο που ειναι ενας χειροκινητος φακος απλος στην κατασκευη του με 3 μονον οπτικα στοιχεια.

Το 2023 οι κινεζοι της ΤΤartisan που κυνηγουν κατι τετοια περιεργα κελεπουρια της αγορας εβγαλαν μια αντιγραφη αυτου του φακου με κοστος το 1/5 του νεωτερου Trioplan 100 f2.8 II ( που αμεσως πηγε στο χιλιαρικο €) καπου κοντα στα 200€.

Ιδια οπτικη συνταγη με τον πρωτο αυθεντικο και τον δευτερο φακο αλλα με κινεζικο κοστος και κατασκευη που δεν εχει το sexiness του vintage chromed φακου αλλα οπτικα ειναι αρκετα κοντα.

To achieve the perfect soap bubble bokeh, it is important to position the subject at close range while keeping enough distance to create a high-contrast background. This effect is produced only at a maximum aperture. You should, therefore, use f/2.8 for the strongest bokeh or f/4.0 for a weaker effect. The focused main subject should be approximately 1m to 5m away. The distance between the subject and background should be at least 5m to 10m.

The closer the focus point to the camera, the greater the bubbles in the background. The stronger the background contrast, the more bubbles appear. Ideally, you should opt for a busy background with strong backlighting such as light-filled trees, lights on a skyline at night, or fairy lights.

Also, the Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 II is the perfect lens for use with an extension tube. The much shorter minimum focus distance enlarges the soap bubbles in the background several times over. In addition, the lens shows close-range subjects in an extremely high resolution.​
