βρήκα ένα καλό post από το φόρουμ της σίγμα στο dpreview, με τα θετικά και αρνητικά του foveon αισθητήρα
''This is a camera that due to the unique architecture of its Foveon sensor , produces images that are much sharper than an equivalent Bayer sensor with a perceived higher resolution due to the absence of an Anti Alias filter(AA).
All this translates to a POTENTIAL for higher Image Quality (IQ) , since this camera has very MINIMAL onboard image processing it requires a LOT of participation from the user in Post Processing Software to DELIVER that potential.
Advanced users are able to extract an IQ that has been likened to a View Camera in its Three Dimensionality and Sharpness , something that makes it inmediately stand out when compared to Bayer images that appear to be Lifeless ,Fuzzy and Dull.
Even more participation is required when shooting difficult light , like frontal ,contrasty light , Low Ambient Light , Incomplete Spectrum Light .
Two areas that are difficult and controversial are Color and Noise.
It can be rewarding for an amateur that will inmediately see better IQ that he is used to , but it takes an advanced Pro to make it really Fly.''
