Απάντηση: Νεος HD D-ILA απο την JVC (HD-1/RS-1)!

Έχω δει και έχω μετρήσει JVC με νέο firmware. Επειδή έχω αποιτελέσματα απο μόνο ένα δείγμα δεν ανέβασα εντυπώσεις.
Θα το κάνω όμως σύντομα..

Σαν τρίτσιπο που είναι, ναι θα δεις θεματάκια.

Πάντως στον δικό μου όποτε έχει λευκή σκηνή η ταινία που πιάνει όλη την οθόνη, δεν βλέπω τίποτα ενοχλητικό. Και μάλιστα ψάχνω να βρω την ανομοιομορφία επίτηδες.

Για να είμαι ειλικρινείς ούτε εγω παρατήρησα κάτι ανάλογο στου Τάκη αλλά είπα μήπως το πρόβλημα εμφανίζεται με την πάροδο του χρόνου...

Αυτό δεν είναι τίποτα άλλο από το γωστο "uniformity". Μην περιμένετε να το συναντήσετε μόνο σε ένα IRE π.χ. λευκό. Περισσότερο ορατό ε'ιναι στους χαμηλούς και μεσσαίους τόνους του γκρί. Αυτή η κιτρινίζουσα χροιά υπάρχει σε πολλούς προβολείς που έχω δει άσχετα εαν οι ιδιοκτήτες τους δεν το καταλαβαίνουν ή καλύτερα δεν το βλέπουν.
Κάτι ανάλογο συμβαίνει και την τεχνολογία SXRD και μάλιστα τοι είχαμε αναφέρει σε κάποιο thread του Ruby ότι μεσα σε κρυφό μενού υπάρχει στην κατηγορία "gamma" κάπου 200 και κάτι περιοχές για να ρυθμίσεις την ομοιομορφία του panel.

"There has been much discussion about video noise with the RS-1. Some people have said that it creates noise and others have said that it's just very revealing of the source. While doing some testing with HD Digital Video Essentials I can in fact confirm that for some bit values that the RS-1 does in fact show dithering noise. By coincidence Bill Cushman of WSR just finished a review on HD DVE and we walked through some of the menu's and compared the results verbally over the phone between his VW50 and my RS-1.

If a person examines the "Luma Shallow Ramp" test pattern from DVE there is a noticeable veil of dithering noise over the entire screen. For those that want to see it just play the test pattern and then examine the screen carefully (and up close) and you'll see a slight, rapid movement of pixel noise throughout the screen. The test pattern pauses after awhile and restarts and during the pause the noise will remain frozen and once the pattern plays again the noise will start moving again.

I also noticed that this dithering noise can be found elswhere on DVE but it doesn't happen all the time and with all bit values only specific ones. As an example there is a series of luma and chroma ramp and step patterns. If a person plays the pattern that has both the smooth ramp (at the top and bottom of the screen) and the step patterns (at the center of the screen), it's possible to see the dithering noise through the greyscale ramp portion of the test pattern. The greyscale ramp also shows what I've called a "greyscale streaking" artifact that looks somewhat like banding. So both of these artifacts can be seen in the same image. What I find most interesting is that the step patterns in the middle are largely free of both dithering and streaking artifacts, but with a few exceptions. If you go through each step pattern carefully (and also sequence through different colors particularly the green test pattern) you'll find some steps that also exhibit dithering noise. It's really an odd affect where some steps will be completely clean looking and others have noise throughout.

With the RS-1, JVC has switched to a digital backplane that is PWM based and I assume that this is the source of the dithering noise. I've thought I've seen it in the past with source material but I wasn't sure if it was in the source or the RS-1 so I didn't comment on the "RS-1 has noise debate", but I think this confirms that the RS-1 does in fact have dithering noise.

In talking with Bill, he has gone through the output of his A-2 playing DVE with an oscilloscope and says that it's an amazingly clean signal and free of source noise so if others can verify this on their setups I think we can safely put this particular debate to bed (sorry RS-1 owners to be the bearer of bad news but this can only spur JVC on to improve the product more)."

Θωμα, οπως καταλαβαινεις σκοπος μας δεν ειναι να παροτρύνουμε η να αποτρέψουμε καποιον απο την αγορα η μη ενος μηχανηματος.

Οφειλουμε να μεταφερουμε οτι βλεπουμε κι οτι διαβαζουμε ( εαν το θεωρουμε αξιο αναφορας ) με σκοπο να το κουβεντιαζουμε και να το αξιολογουμε.

Το συγκεκριμενο ειναι κατι το οποιο εχει αναφερθει στο παρελθον μαζι με το θεμα των χρωματων. Ειναι κατι το οποιο παραπονιουνται καποιοι end users και στελνοντας μειλ στη μαμα εταιρια , πηραν σαν απαντηση οτι ειναι θορυβος απο κακο σημα η κακο καλωδιο and thats it.
Οπως θα διαβασες παραπανω, καποια εμπειρα μελη του αμερικανικου avs , καναν καποιες μετρησεις και δοκιμες χρησιμοποιωντας επαγγελματικα οργανα για την επιβεβαιωση η μη του θεματος.

Και, προσωπικά πιστεύω, οτι καλώς αναφέρονται οποιαδήποτε "μειονεκτήματα" σε ΚΑΘΕ προβολέα έτσι ώστε να μπορούμε να είμαστε ενημερωμένοι. Σαφώς, όμως και δεν πρέπει ν' αποτελούν καθοδηγητικές γραμμές, οι αναφορές αυτές, στην επιλογή ενός προβολέα. Ένα τέτοιο μειονέκτημα μπορεί να μην είναι αισθητό ή αντιληπτό σε μεγάλη μάζα υποψήφιων αγοραστών.
Άλλωστε "τέλειο" προβολικό σύστημα δεν υπήρξε, ούτε θα υπάρξει ποτέ...

Απλά: "Δες, άκου, συμβουλέψου, διάλεξε..."
