Verdict
Should I buy one?
That really depends on what you want. If your main interest is the aesthetics of the TV, then the LG GX is the perfect choice. The ultra-thin chassis is gorgeous, and the build quality is exceptional. There’s no denying this is a gorgeous piece of industrial design that will look stunning when wall mounted. But if you're more interested in the features, then the cheaper CX is identical in this regard.
And what a feature set it is, with support for 4K Ultra HD, HDR (including Dolby Vision IQ), and Dolby Atmos. The newly added Filmmaker Mode ensures you can enjoy movies as the content creators intended, and the overall accuracy is really impressive. There are also extensive calibration controls, and a great autocal feature that even has a pattern generator built into the TV.
The inclusion of HDMI 2.1 inputs remains a competitive advantage for LG, who are the only manufacturer to embrace this connection on its 4K TVs. It means this OLED TV not only supports eARC but also HFR, VRR and ALLM. That’s sure to please gamers, as will a low input lag, fast response time, HGiG profile and G-Sync compatibility.
Overall, it’s a superb TV that delivers the kind of gorgeous images you expect from an OLED. Of course it’s not perfect, and if you’re looking for criticisms the HDR could be brighter and will never fully compete with an LCD TV. There’s no HDR10+ support either, although that’s not really a great loss these days as Dolby Vision dominates. There’s also the slight possibility of screen burn, so anyone who games extensively should bear that in mind.
However, in all other respects the LG 65GX is a fantastic TV that looks stunning whether it’s on or off, and comes highly recommended. It’s best suited to wall mounting, so if you’re not planning on doing that or the design isn’t that important to you, then you might want to consider the CX instead.

Η LG αφαίρεσε την υποστήριξη DTS από τα μοντέλα του 2020.
Από ότι φαίνεται η LG ακολούθησε την πολιτική της Samsung και δεν υποστηρίζει το DTS στις τηλεοράσεις του 2020.
Το διαπίστωσαν καταναλωτές στην Αμερική που αγόρασαν τις νέες OLED και διαπίστωσαν πως οι τηλεοράσεις δεν αναπαράγουν τον ήχο DTS ούτε τον κάνουν passthrough.

Μια συνέντευξη που κυκλοφόρησε στο Forbes αποκαλύπτει πώς η LG φέτος έχει ενσωματώσει 48 Gbit / s HDMI συνδέσεις μόνο στα μοντέλα OLED 8K και LCD NanoCell, ενώ η σειρά 4K θα έχει 40 Gbit / s εισόδους που επαρκεί για 4K / σήματα 120fps με βάθος χρώματος 10-bit ανά συστατικό και δειγματοληψία 4: 4: 4
Σύμφωνα με όσα δημοσίευσε το Forbes, η σειρά LG 4K OLED και Nanocell 2020 θα ενσωματώνει εισόδους HDMI 2.1 με μέγιστο εύρος φάσματος τα 40 Gbit / s.
Έτσι η κατάσταση διαμορφώνεται ως εξής: οι OLED WX, GX και CX θα έχουν τέσσερις εισόδους HDMI των 40 Gbit / s, ενώ μόνο οι νέες τηλεοράσεις 8K OLED ZX και LCD Nano 99/97/95 θα έχουν δύο εισόδους HDMI 2.1 πλήρους φάσματος (48 Gbit / s) και δύο των 40 Gbit / s.
Απαιτούνται 48 Gbit / s για 4K, 120fps, 12 bit ανά στοιχείο και δειγματοληψία 4: 4: 4. Ωστόσο, το βάθος χρώματος των 12 bit υποστηρίζεται μόνο από το Dolby Vision και τα πάνελ στην αγορά τα οποία φτάνουν επί του παρόντος στα 10 bit.

Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη όλα αυτά, ορισμένοι μπορεί να προτιμήσουν να επικεντρωθούν στα μοντέλα του περασμένου έτους, οι διαφορές των οποίων φαίνονται να είναι οριακές.
Από την άλλη πλευρά, το OLED 2020 προσφέρει νέες λειτουργίες όπως η λειτουργία Filmmaker, το Dolby Vision IQ και η λειτουργία HGiG για παιχνίδια HDR.
Μ' αυτά και με άλλα, προσανατολίζομαι στο να περιμένω την ολοκληρωμένη σειρά 11 του 2021, όταν θα φέρουν και DisplayPort Alt Mode 2.0, 16K σε USB4 με WiFi 6.

This week, LG revealed that the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on the company's 2020 4K TVs including the CX and GX OLED is "only" 40Gbps instead of the 48Gbps implemented on last year's C9. Vincent and Adam discussed the real-world implications of this revelation, and also touched on DSC (Display Stream Compression) which is allowed for within the HDMI 2.1 specifications.

Εχω παρατηρησει, και διορθωστε με αν κανω λαθος, πως σε καποια μοντελα τηλεορασεων του 2020 που θα ερθουν, η LG εχει προσθεσει Twin tuner και οχι σε ολα. Μαλιστα το εχει ονομασει και ως Dual tuner. Καποια μοντελα που εχω ξεχωρισει οτι εχουν αυτο το προσθετο χαρακτηριστικο ειναι η Nano867, Nano917, η σειρα UN7400, UN7300 και ολες οι OLED τηλεορασεις. Μπορει να ειναι καποια ακομη μοντελα που να τα εχω ξεχασει. Η πηγη που τα εχω δει ειναι:https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/brand/a1025
Ειναι κατα πολλους, κι εγω συμφωνω με αυτο, πολυ χρησιμη εφαρμογη, αν μπορω να το πω ετσι. Ευκολια και διαχειρηση στο τι εχει σε καποιο αλλο καναλι την ωρα που παρακολουθεις καποιο αλλο. Η Samsung και η Panasonic το εχουν στανταρ στις εκδοσεις τους στα πιο πολλα μοντελα.
Παντα, εννοειται να παιζει PAP, PIP, PAT, χωρις εξωτερικη συσκευη, οπως γινοταν πιο παλια και μονο με PIP σε καποιες Samsung 10ετιας, οπου για να δεις PIP επρεπε να συνδεσεις εξωτερικη πηγη μεσω hdmi. Οπως ηταν η παλια μου samsung le40c750! Τι εργαλειο ετσι? Sorry για το off topic σε αυτο το σημειο.
Στην Ελλαδα γνωριζουμε ποτε θα ερθουν? Ευχαριστω.
