To The Fallen Idol δεν το ήξερα, αλλα διαβάζοντας την υπόθεση στο imdb αναγνωρίζω ένα συγκλονιστικό διήγημα του Graham Greene που είχα διαβάσει παλιά. Θα το ψάξω κι αυτό. Για το Third Man, θα ξέρετε το κουτσομπολιό που υπάρχει γύρω απο αυτή την ταινία (ότι δηλαδή στην πραγματικότητα ο σκηνοθέτης ήταν ο Orson Welles).

Την έχει ξαναπαίξει το κρατικό κανάλι? Γιατί κάτι μου θυμίζει....
 
Έχετε κατά νου ότι δεν έχει γίνει σωστή μετάφραση στους υπότιτλους. Κρίμα γιατί είναι και επί πληρωμής και σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις αλλάζει πολύ το νόημα από το αρχικό κείμενο.

Μερικές φορές δεν αναφέρει ονόματα σκηνοθετών, ενώ στο αρχικό intro, αναγράφει " στις ταινίες της Κιοκο Καγκαουα που έπαιξε στην καλύτερη ταινία."

Ενώ ο Μαρκ λέει... "and in the films of kioko kagaua who perhaps she play in the best movie ever made.."

Ο mainstream κινηματογράφος της Κίνας ήταν οπως και η μελωδία της ευτυχίας..
ενα ρομαντικό σετ φτιαγμένο σε studio, με ελεγμένες όλες τις συνθήκες γυρίσματος, ολα ειναι καθαρά και στην εντέλεια..

Μετά ηρθε ο παρακάτω κύριος (King Hu) και άλλαξε δραστικά το mainstream σε πιο γρήγορο, πιο επιθετικό πιο "αγορίστικο"..
εκλεπτισμένες αέρινες χορογραφίες, σπαθιά, μάχες, λυρικότητα, μια απαλή ηρεμία (βουδιστική θα λέγαμε) μια υπερβολή που ομως κρύβει και ενα χαλαρό λεπτό χιουμορ, στους ήχοις των σπαθιών και τα επιφωνήματα που κάνουν κατα την μάχη, οπως και αργότερα ο μέγας Bruce Lee.

Στο Hong Kong θα εχουμε ενα άλλον (John Woo) πιο βιαιο στυλίστα, μετρ του γρήγορου μοντάζ και αυτος ομως, θα εχει μια ποιητική στον τροπο κινηματογράφισης, ειδικά στο εξαιρετικό The Killers

μετά απο χρόνια τα αδέλφια Wachowski για τις ανάγκες των δικων τους χορογραφιων, θα τις αναθέσουν σε εναν απο τους καλύτερους κινέζους χορογράφους.

εδω εχει χαθεί παντελώς κάθε εννοια λυρικότητας και μαγείας, σοβαρότητα, ντουβάρια που σπάνε απο γροθιές, αυστηρές ρομποτικές κινήσεις που δείχνουν παντελως ψεύτικες. Aτσαλάκωτοι κάγκουρες με μαύρα γυαλιά και μια προσπάθεια χιουμορ, απλώς κανουν την κατάσταση χειρότερη.

Βεβαια όλα τα παραπάνω μπορουν να λειτουργούν και ανάποδα για ενα νεαρό σε ηλικία.

Δείτε και το Story of film..
Θα δειτε αρκετούς αγαπημένους σας δημιουργους, θα βρείτε την σχέση του Woody με τον Bergman και γιατί σας αρέσουν.

Προσωπικά βλεποντας την σειρά για 2η φορα και πλεον εχωντας δει, τις περισσότερες απο τις ταινίες που αναφέρονται, εχω κατανοήσει καλύτερα την εξέλιξη της κινηματογραφικής γλώσσας. Το πως αλληλοεπηρεαζονται οι δημιουργοι με τους προγενέστερους, απο τις παγκόσμιες πολιτικές, οικονομικές, κοινωνικές και τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις και πως απο το ευρύ κοινό.

Γιατί μου αρέσουν κάποιοι συγκεκριμένοι δημιουργοί και πως, αρκετοί απο αυτους, για κάποιο λόγο, συνδέονται πχ Bresson με Tati.
για τον κ.Στελιο Bergman με Woody.

Είδαμε γιατί κάποιοι σπουδαίοι δημιουργοί, Πεκινπα, Bogdanovich, ο πρώιμος Mallick (ο Mark τους ονομάζει αφομοιωτες) εφεραν νέα σύγχρονα θέματα, πιο ρεαλιστικά, όμως ηταν αρκετά ρομαντικοι και συντηριτικοί (εκαναν ταινίες μεσα απο μια αντρική ματιά, οι γυναίκες ειχαν μικρή ή και καθόλου σημασία πχ Ford, Πεκινπα) και δεν τους ενδιέφερε να ανανεώσουν την κινηματογραφική φόρμα οπως άλλοι αμερικάνοι.

Ο Πεκινπα ηταν λάτρης του μεγάλου ρομαντικού και συντηριτικού Ford.

ολα αυτά στο Episode 9 - American Cinema of the 70s - 1967-1979: New American Cinema.

Γινεται πιο εύκολα κατανοητό γιατί κάποιοι σύγχρονοι θεατές, που δεν τους ενδιαφέρει η ανανέωση της κινηματογραφικής φόρμας, οπως και οι παραπάνω σκηνοθέτες, δεν βρίσκουν σχεδόν κανένα ενδιαφέρον στον νέο μοντέρνο κινηματογράφο, στις ταινίες του Third World Cinema ή του νέου Fourth World Cinema. Και γιατί εχουν στραφεί στις σειρές.

Γινεται και μια μικρή αναφορά στον σπουδαίο Montgomery Clift, που ανανέωσε την αντρική ερμηνεία και εδωσε μια περισσότερο ανθρώπινη υπόσταση.
Πλεον οι αντρες δεν ειναι μονο ατσαλάκωτοι, σκληροτράχυλοι, macho man, τυπου John Wayne αλλα εχουν αισθήματα, ειναι ευαισθητοι, μπορούν να κλαίνε. Ολα αυτά ηρθαν απο εναν ομοφυλόφιλο που κυνηγήθηκε απο το Hollywood οπως αναφέρεται και στο doc.

αυτο το είδες.. Faces Places (2017)

δεν εχω δει και εγω κάποια απο τα πρώτα της και το Vagabond (1985).

Εξαιρετική δημιουργός με συνολικά πολύ πιο ενδιαφέρουσα καριέρα απο ότι άλλοι της New wave, οπως αναφέρουν και δίπλα.. αυτή και ο Godard.
Πέρα απο εξαιρετική δημιουργός (και ακόμα σημαντικότερο) ηταν μια αξιαγάπητη, ευγενική, ανήσυχη ψυχή και αυτο φαίνεται απλόχερα στις ταινίες της και στα ιδιαίτερα doc της.
