Strengths:
- Excellent rendering and beautiful bokeh, ideal for portrait and artistic work
- Robust build with sophisticated aesthetic and useful features like aperture lock and weather sealing
- Strong video performance with stable footage and good focus pulls
- Good value at $549 with solid optical design and slight optical improvements over the previous series
- Autofocus speed and accuracy on Nikon Z-mount are relatively sluggish and less reliable
- Limited close focusing distance and marginal maximum magnification
- Slightly heavier and larger compared to some competitors, with oversize for APS-C on Fuji X-mount
- Not the sharpest lens, especially in corners, with some issues like flare and mild color fringing
