Below position call for Greek and English speaking multidiscipline engineers that will be based in Athens, Greece, but will also serve on assignment as design coordinators stationed in Archirodon’s overseas projects. The suitable candidates will have:
General Requirements:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good working knowledge of applicable International Design Guidelines, Codes and Standards.
Specific Requirements:
• Graduate studies in the field of marine engineering.
• At least ten years marine/coastal design experience including:
o Establishment of environmental and operational design criteria
o Hydrodynamic, sedimentation and wave climate studies
o Design of marine/coastal structures including breakwaters and revetment, seawater intake and outfall systems, underwater pipelines (scour, protection, laying, etc.), quay walls, piled structures, port layout studies, etc.
• Numerical modelling and analysis using specialized computer software (e.g., MIKE21, Litpack, Optimoor, etc.).

• At least ten years geotechnical design experience including:
o Ground investigations and site characterization
o Foundation design of onshore and offshore structures such as quay walls & jetties including caissons, piles (drilled, driven, rock-socketed), block walls, etc.
o Design of permanent retaining structures (diaphragm walls, tied back retaining systems etc.)
o Soil-structure interaction of onshore and offshore structures founded on spread or deep foundations
o Design of enabling works such as cofferdams, dewatering, soil improvement, shoring structures, etc.
• Numerical modelling and analysis using specialized computer software (e.g., PLAXIS, Ensoft and Rocscience Suites, GRLWEAP, etc.).
