Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (also known as The Les Claypool Frog Brigade) is one of many musical projects involving Primus bassist Les Claypool. The original band was formed in summer 2000 and consisted of: Les Claypool (bass, vocals), Todd Huth (guitars, vocals), Jay Lane (drums), Jeff Chimenti (keyboards), Skerik (saxophone), and Eenor (guitars). Les Claypool has described their sound as, "It's kind of a King Crimson meets Pink Floyd meets Frank Zappa type thing."[1]
The band released two live recordings in 2001, Live Frogs Set 1 and Live Frogs Set 2. Set 1 is a mix of covers and originals, including "Thela Hun Ginjeet" (King Crimson) and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (Pink Floyd). Set 2 is a live cover of the entire Pink Floyd album, Animals. A studio album was also released in 2002 entitled Purple Onion.[2]
All three albums were released on Les Claypool's Prawn Song Records.

Ο Ιταλός πιανίστας ο οποίος , σημειωτέον, έχει παίξει σε ηχογραφήσεις του συνθέτη στη δεκαετία του ´70, εδώ χρησιμοποιεί γνωστά και λιγότερο γνωστά θέματα και μας δίνει έναν εξαιρετικό jazz δίσκο.

Eξαιρετική 9η Bruckner από τον Giulini και την Φιλαρμονική τής Βιέννης..
Η Ανολοκλήρωτη τελευταία Συμφωνία τού συνθέτη αποδίδεται ,με έναν σκοτεινό,αργόσυρτο (σε Tempo)αλλά και μεγαλοπρεπή τρόπο.
Το πρώτο μέρος μέ τις μεγάλες εναλλαγές στά δυναμικά τής Ορχήστρας καταλήγει ´τραγικά´,το scherzo σχεδόν δαιμονικό,και το Adagio μια διαρκής θρηνωδία..
´Ζωντανή ´Ηχογράφηση τού 1989 ...
Ορχήστρα και Carlo Maria σέ σουπερ φόρμα .
Εξαίρετος ήχος επίσης.

άδικα παρεξηγημένοι και λάθος κατηγοριοποιημένοι (ιδίως στην Ελλάδα)...

και ένα sympathy for the devil από άλλο πλανήτη...

Από τα τέσσερα piano concerti που έγραψε ο ήσσων αυτός συνθέτης μάλλον είναι το πιο όμορφο και εμπνευσμένο. Οι επιρροές από Prokofiev είναι παραπάνω εμφανείς. Γενικότερα, στα έργα αυτά, επηρεάστηκε επίσης από Shostakovich και Rachmaninov (λιγότερο). Δεν είναι η Μεγάλη μουσική αλλά μπορεί να είναι ευχάριστη στους θιασώτες της φόρμας πιάνο + ορχήστρα.

ε όχι και άδικα . Υπερφίλαο γκρουπ , φωνακλάδικο , με μη οριοθετημένο πεδίο επιρροών και γούστων . Από τον Σατί στο λας Βέγκας στα καζίνο. Βαρετοί , αντιπαθείς , σχοινοτενείς , μεγαλοσχήμονες .

Recorded in 1972 and released in 1973 with Herbie Hancock, Stanley Clarke, and Jack DeJohnette, Joe Farrell's Moon Germs was a foray into the electric side of jazz. More progressive than groove-oriented, three of the four compositions were written by Chick Corea and certainly reflect that knotty, angular, almost mathematic penchant of his for soaring arpeggios in the solos and contrapuntal basslines that circle DeJohnette's drumming. Nowhere is this truer than on the opener, "Great George," where Farrell leads off with the hint of a melody before careening into legato streams of thought along striated intervallic paths. DeJohnette is like a machine gun, quadruple-timing the band as Clarke moves against the grain in a series of fours and eights, and Hancock's attempts to keep the entire thing anchored are almost insufficient. On the title track there is more of a funk backdrop, but still, there are the knotty runs and insane harmonic reaches Farrell attempts on his soprano that crack, falter, and ultimately turn into something else even more satisfying that what Mr. Math (Corea) wanted, though the sheer business of the track is dizzying. "Bass Folk Song" is by Clarke, and is the only thing on the record that actively engages melody rather than harmonic structures. Farrell uses his flute and Hancock strides into the same kind of territory his explored with Miles Davis, chopping up chordal phrases into single lines and feeding them wholesale to the running pair frontmen in Clarke and Farrell. DeJohnette uses a Latin backdrop to hang his drumming on and pursues a circular and hypnotic groove on the cymbals and toms. It's a gorgeous piece of music and utilizes an aspect of space within the melodic frame that the rest of the firebrand tunes do not, though it's no ballad.
