Χαιρετώ όλους και ελπίζω να μην με βρίζετε που απουσίασα λιγάκι ε?
Λοιπόν....τα μηχανάκια είναι έτοιμα....αλλά η αποστολή τους ( γενικότερα....αφού κανείς στην Ευρώπη δεν έχει παραλάβει) θα αρχίσει "early November" όπως είπε η γραμματεύς του εμπορικού τους Διευθυντή. :D
Μην με ρωτήσετε γιατί το πάνε έτσι . Δεν ξέρω! Αυτό που ξέρω σίγουρα είναι ότι ακόμα και το ίδιο το τμήμα πωλήσεων της Xtreamer είναι τσακωμένο και αγανακτισμένο με το τμήμα παραγωγής και R&D.........

Επίσης αποσαφηνίστηκε και η απορία την οποία είχα εκφράσει στον αντιπρόσωπο σχετικά με την ικανότητα του Prodigy για frame packing 3D : Η απάντησή τους ήταν " Τα κάνει όλα!!"
 
Ναι αλλά τι καλύτερο σπο το να ξετυλιγεις το δώρο κάτω από το χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο ;

Dear friends and community members,

We are all happy to official announce you that your Xtreamer Prodigy 3D will allow you the benefits of Android Apps on your TV.

In this mail we will not get too technical. Few words though:

The Xtreamer Prodigy 3D will open for you a whole new world of TV experience that until now was reserved to smartphones only.

While Android platform as a whole is going through rapid growth rate and huge number of apps to select from, it is still suffering from its immaturity. We believe this community once will be enlightened with the world of possibilities will surely engage in development and modification of ROMS and Custom Mods for the Prodigy.

Few essential points:

(1) in order to fully enjoy the android platform on the machine the user is recommended to use mouse and keyboard. The early first thousand buyers from our official shop will get their Prodigy with a free included Mini wireless Keyboard. Users will be able to use other keyboard and mouse and their remote control.

(2) the android is sitting as a layer under the official firmware of Xtreamer V.3. It means you will have another link on your main Home Screen GUI that brings you to the world of Android Apps. The beauty of it is that any app that was originally rendered for the small display of a smartphone will be automatically rendered for 16:9 HDTV.

(3) You are recommended to use an SD card inserted inside the SD Slot in the front panel of the Xtreamer Prodigy 3D. It will allow you to store more apps and perform backups.

(4) The Android version that runs on the prodigy is version 2.2.1 (froyo) which was compiled to run on MIPS. For those of you who cannot tell the difference of MIPS and ARM based platforms we should now just say that smartphones are ARM based and not all apps and games that run smooth on your latest Smartphone will run perfect or at all on the device. It is a matter of how the publisher of the given app compiled his application initially.

(4) The android version that you will all have soon will allow you to copy .apk (android apps) to a usb or sd card in order to install them on your device.

(5) You can use Dropbox to sync apps or files to and from the device. The dropbox apps works flawlessly and allows you even to stream photos music and files.

(6) You can enjoy on your TV a wide collection of Music Playback apps that will allow you the world of online radio. shoutcast and even streaming video. (in the pix below you can see more info)

(7)Twitter and Facebook Apps works great and display just as you would have expected.

(8) MSN messenger and Skype works fine as well (for chat only as there was no video support in this apps when froyo was out)

(9) Regional Video and TV channels and News is supported very well. Users from UK will be able to enjoy BBC iPlayer fully. Users from USA will enjoy Hulu and Netflix. User from israel will enjoy MAKO VOD, Channel 10 with full news and videos.

(10) Yes. You will be able to display on your screen all Microsoft Office file like PPT. DOC. XLS and even PDF ( you will be required to install software that supports that like DocumentsToGO)

(11) Yes. You will be able to enjoy finally a full web browser capabilities. It supports Dolphin HD, Maxthon Browser and many others with all the goodies you may expect.

(12) Yes you will be able to enjoy full Mail experience on your TV (not only Gmail... but also full POP3 or IMAP) all you will need to do is to install and run Kaiten Mail or K9mail.

(14) Yes. you will be able to enjoy ebay, Amazon, DealExtreme

(15) Yes you will be able to enjoy RSS and Google Apps like Google Reader and similar syndication apps.

(16) Yes you will be able to install various Market Apps. it does not mean that all apps will work but at least you can download and try.

(17) Yes. you will be able to enjoy Google Map and Google Earth on TV. It works perfect.

(18) Yes you will be able to enjoy forums reading on TV . Install the Tapatalk and you will see.

(19) Yes you can install launchers...We tested few. Like ADWLauncher EX and they all perform nice with all the 3d effects and nice features. Please note that they originally not meant for TV so it is a trial and error and we are sure this community will come up soon with a launcher for TV.

(20) We will continue update this platform and calling you all to take part in making your prodigy experience even better.

(21) Because Android does not live well with PHP we had to remove the support for RSS at this point. It means you will not find the Xtreamering Portal. We replaced it with some nice collection of basic RSS apps. Maybe in the future it will be possible to bring it back.

(22) You will be able to access your NAS (Synlogy DS apps are all working) as well as any SMB shares on your local network. Install File Expert to get full control.

Δυστυχώς το power buy έχει κλείσει παιδια.. Δεν χάνετε τίποτα όμως να τηλεφωνήσετε στον αντιπρόσωπο ( Elnetcom) Δεν ξέρω εάν του ζητούσαμε να κάνει καμμιά προνομιακή τιμή ( μην φανταστείτε τίποτα φοβερό) για τα μέλη του Avclub ....μήπως το δεχτεί...
 
Νομίζω πως είναι το μεγαλύτερο power buy ever !!

Έχω μεγάλες προσδοκίες για το μηχάνημα, ελπίζω να μην με διαψεύσει... χεχε

Στο forum της Xtreamer, κάποια μέλη αναφέρουν ότι μετά από επικοινωνία που είχαν με το τμήμα πωλήσεων της εταιρείας, τους δόθηκε ως ημερομηνία αποστολής για το Prodigy η 1/11 (καλό μήνα, btw). Το Hong Kong είναι 8 ώρες μπροστά. Έχουμε κάποια ενημέρωση? Είναι έτοιμα να φύγουν? Αν ναι, προλαβαίνουν να μπουν στο πλοίο της ερχόμενης Παρασκευής και να έχουμε τα players μέσα στις επόμενες 25 μέρες.

1/11 δεν θα είναι . 5-6/11 το πιθανότερο.....Καλό μήνα!!!
