Η διαδικασία φορτώματος του firmware γίνεται μέσω κάρτας και όχι με καλώδιο με το πρόγραμμα της Olympus/OM Workspace ή ασύρματα με το OIShare. Με την κάρτα ακολουθείται ο τρόπος που περνουν νεο firmware στις μηχανές τα σέρβις της εταιρίας
To install the firmware, you'll need to:
* Make sure the battery is fully charged.
* Extract the firmware file from archive into a folder called "DCOLYMP" on your SD-Card.
* Put the SD-Card into your camera. Start the camera while holding the OK button pressed. The focus assist LED should turn on - this means the firmware is installing, and you can release the OK button.
* When the installation ends, the focus assist LED will start to blink. Now you can switch the camera off, and then on again. That's all.
Πάντα όταν το κάνουμε έχουμε φροντίσει να έχουμε και την ορίτζιναλ βερσιον του firmware ώστε να μπορούμε αν θέλουμε να γυρίσουμε τη μηχανή με την ίδια διαδικασία στο αρχικό firmware
Δυστυχώς η Olympus κατέβασε ρολά στον server που τα είχε ομαδοποιημένα , και για να τα βρεις από τo επίσημο site της ΟMDS θέλει λίγο ψάξιμο ντεντεκτιβ , ακολουθείς τις οδηγίες στο Link :

Σε άλλες μηχανές ανοίγουν τη δυνατότητα focus stacking με AF φακούς Panasonic και Olympus που είναι κλειδωμένη ως λειτουργία και σε άλλες μηχανές ανοίγουν απεριόριστο βίντεο ή έως 29 λεπτά.
Επεξηγήσεις πάνω στις αλλαγές :
- The first instruction that the patch deletes is the test for limiting Olympus cameras to 30 minute video recording.
- Note, the OM branded cameras do not have a 30 minute record limit.
- Due to the 2GB file size limit in VFAT file systems, the camera splits the recording when the size would become greater than 2GB.
- On 1080p recordings, this split typically is around the 24 minute mark.
- Earlier cameras had issues if they tried to split the video stream too many times, which became a secondary limit for long recording sessions.
- The second instruction that the patch removes is the check whether a lens is enabled for focus stacking. Presumably OM branded cameras could still use this patch.
