CyberLink PowerDVD Certified for DTS-HD Master Audio

The combination of CyberLink PowerDVD and DTSʼs latest technology enables the ultimate entertainment experience when playing high-definition content and Blu-ray discs movies on PCs. DTS-HD Master Audio allows bit-for-bit reproduction of the original studio master soundtrack and supports up to 7.1-channel output, for a lifelike audio performance.

CyberLink Partners with Realtek to Showcase Lossless HD Audio Playback with Copy Protection Technology

IC design house Realtek Semiconductor Corp. to incorporate Realtek's high-performance ALC889 audio codec within PowerDVD, delivering exceptional high-definition audio playback at 192kHz/24bit. The collaboration is being showcased at CyberLink's suite, Grand Hyatt suite 1030, 1031, and 1032 during Computex 2008, June 3rd – 7th.
CyberLink PowerDVD, featuring support for the latest HD audio and video standards and formats, allows the playback of high-definition movie content with superb audio and video quality on the PC. PowerDVD is now able to deliver 192kHz/24bit high-definition audio through the embedded Realtek HDA ALC889 Codec, which protects content while still allowing full-rate audio enjoyment of DVDs and Blu-ray Discs.

To καλο ειναι οτι φαινεται πως ''αποδεσμευουν'' το pdvd απο την Auzentech και την νεα της καρτα.
Δλδ το pdvd φαινεται οτι θα μπορει να παιζει bitstream (dts hd ma καταρχην - με το truehd τι γινεται ρε παιδια; ) και με αλλον hdmi 1.3 εξοπλισμο ενω θα βγαζει lpcm χωρις downsampling.
Το 1ο ''βγαινει'' απο το 1ο λινκ και το 2ο απο το 2ο αντιστοιχα.
Βεβαια αυτα ειναι υποθεσεις (καθως, όπως παντα, αυτες οι ανακοινωσεις ειναι σαν τους χρησμους της Πυθιας και βγαινουν κυριως για λογους marketing απο ανθρωπους που δεν εχουν τεχνικες γνωσεις - εξ ου και δεν βγαζουν νοημα παντα) και μονο οταν βγουν αυτα τα updates (το 1ο εκ των οποιων επρεπε, συμφωνα με την ανακοινωση, να εχει ηδη βγει προ 2 μηνων) θα δουμε τι παιζει.
Το μυστηριο που περιβαλλει τον HD ηχο και το PDVD συνεχιζεται. Τουλαχιστον ειμαστε σε καλο δρομο. Αντε μπας και ξυπνησει και καμια αλλη εταιρια software.
